BEACH TAGS

Beach tags are required from June 15th to Labor Day during the hours of 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Tags are on sale now & can be purchased at the Brigantine Beach Community Center, located on 42nd Street and Brigantine Ave. If the beach is in operation you can purchase tags on the beach from the Inspectors.

Beach Tag Fees

Daily – $10.00
Weekly – $15.00
Seasonal (during May) – $20.00
Seasonal (beginning June 1st) – $25.00
Senior 60 to 64 ($8.00 in May) – $20.00 after June 1st
Senior over 65: Come in with identification for a free tag. 1 tag per ID

Active Military Members: tags are free (4 per family).

Veterans: beach tags are free for only that veteran.

Children 11 years and younger are free

Parking permits for municipal parking lots can be purchased for $25.00 for the seasonal permit or $8.00 for daily permits

4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ON THE BEACH

Driving a four-wheel drive is permitted on the beach, as long as a permit is obtained. Applicants should present a valid driver”s license, auto registration and proof of insurance. Permit holders must follow rules and regulations of permit. Permits can be purchased at the Brigantine Beach Community Center on 42nd Street.

DO NOT DRIVE ON THE BEACH WITHOUT A PERMIT. ALL WHEEL DRIVE, TWO WHEEL DRIVE, MOTORCYCLES, ETC ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A PERMIT AND ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE BEACH. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ON THE BEACH WITHOUT A 4 WHEEL DRIVE YOU WILL GET STUCK AND MAY END UP ON THE “2023 BEACH CARS IN BRIGANTINE CALENDAR”.

4 Wheel drive permit – $200 (if purchased before April 30th) – May 1st and after – $300 (comes with 2 beach tags)
Vehicle owners 60 and over – $85.00 (before March 1st – $80)

Military – FREE

Replace lost permit – $30.00

BEACH BARBECUES

Barbecue grills are permitted on any beach in Brigantine from Memorial Day & Labor Day between the hours of 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM as written in resolution 2004-72 . The public must follow ordinances of the City of Brigantine and all State and Federal laws. Barbecues will be permitted provided that all fires are contained in a commercial type grill or barbecue, and are tended to during the cooking of food and left to extinguish itself in the grill upon completion of cooking. All individuals are responsible for the removal of any such barbecue equipment and any and all trash which is generated as a result of said barbecues. Open fires such as bon-fires or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited on the beach.

 

 

HORSE BACK RIDING ON THE BEACH

Did you know you can ride your horse on one of the most beautiful all natural beaches in New Jersey? Brigantine’s North Beach is 2 1/2 miles of untouched beach located at the tip of Brigantine Island. Horseback riding is open to the public by permit from October 1st through March 30th from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM. For permit information call 266-7600 ext. 220
